Who Knows You Best?

La Romana, Dominican Republic: Upon arrival, your first impression of Casa de Campo is its scope of amenities. At 7,000 acres, the resort is half the size of Manhattan in New York City. “Unlike other resorts dotting the Dominican landscape, there’s no need to contact tour operators for day excursions. Almost all of our sporting products, including golf, equestrian, and shooting clays, are on-site,” explained Robert Birtel, director of golf operations.

“We have three compelling golf courses to choose from,” continued Birtel. “Although our famous Teeth of the Dog Course may have as much brand recognition as the resort itself, I recommend playing all three. The Links Course is friendly off the tee and Pete Dye commented it has the best complex of greens he ever designed. Not to be outdone, the Dye Fore Course offers commanding views of the Chavón River and countryside.”

Home Away From Home

New this year to the resort is the Casa de Campo Golf Learning Center.

“Resources include two indoor Trackman studios and the most advanced instructional tools in the Caribbean,” described Birtel. “In an innovative approach, we welcome fellow PGA and LPGA teaching professionals to visit Casa de Campo with their members to use our teaching facilities. Frankly, who knows you best than your home club instructor?”

Getting there: La Romana Airport (LRM) is five minutes from the resort. All major airline carriers fly into Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) 60 minutes away.
