This year, French Lick Resort will host a Symetra Tour (supporting future LPGA greats) and the Senior LPGA Championship (recognizing the Tour’s legends).

French Lick, Indiana: French Lick Resort was welcoming guests for more than a century when the LPGA was founded by 13 pioneering women. With two sister hotels—the West Baden Springs Hotel and the French Lick Springs Hotel—the resort opened in 1845, the same year that America only had 27 states in the Union. The AAA four-diamond property has invested over $600 million in recent years. Amenities include the largest resort conference center in the Midwest; a full service casino; two spas; the Kidsfest Lodge; a bowling alley; and 54 holes of golf, including Donald Ross and Pete Dye Signature designs.

French Lick Resort will host two notable tournaments this year: the Symetra Tour Donald Ross Classic in July and the Senior LPGA Championship in October.

“You owe it to yourself to visit French Lick Resort,” extolled Mike Nichols, LPGA’s chief business officer. “Until the Astrodome in Houston was constructed, West Baden Spring Hotel could lay claim to the largest free-standing dome in the world. Architects often refer to the building as the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World.’”

The Symetra Tour has earned the moniker “The Road to the LPGA.” In the past two decades, 117 Symetra Tour graduates have carded 418 LPGA victories and won 39 major championships.

“We are honored to have French Lick Resort as a host,” continued Nichols. “There is literally something for everyone—on and off the course.

“After a day of play, indulge with dinner at 1875:The Steakhouse. While enjoying a prime-aged filet, sip on a Signature Bloody Mary brimming with the flavors of peppercorn, Tabasco, Worcestershire and, of course, tomato juice for a drink you will relish from beginning to end,” smiled Nichols.
