This leaves almost 40% of the year free for them to pursue other jobs or enjoy free time. They are responsible for their own travel and living expenses, which can range from $25,000 to $50,000 a year. While varying greatly, caddies take of winnings can range from 5% for a finish outside the top 10 to 10% for a win.
