American was the first airline to introduce airport lounges for customers in 1939 at LaGuardia Airport (LGA). In keeping with a nautical theme, the club was called the “Admirals Lounge.” Receptionists were called skippers and bar staff stewards. Our partnership with American includes distribution of our magazine in their domestic mainland lounges. A partnership has been long lasting – dating back to the same year Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook.

Golfers age 50+ account for 43% of the on-course participant base of 26.6 million players.

The Earth’s Circumference

It’s estimated 1.5 billion golf balls will be “lost” this year in America. If those balls were laid in a row, they would extend around the earth’s circumference more than one and a half times.

Golf Instruction as a Business

Pardon the analogy courtesy of the National Golf Foundation: Improving at golf is a personal goal that isn’t so different from trying to lose weight. Common to both objectives is the interest in a “silver bullet” promising a fast and easy result. The golf instruction industry generates $1.5+ billion each year with golfers taking nearly 27 million lessons.
